This all sounds likely. I am not sure what to do about it. Queeny? Do you go to a chiropractor? I have not had good results with chiropractors. When I had the ruptured disc in my neck they made it worse. I spent years going because of headaches. My massage therapist said I should not go back to one unless she said it was the right time, but now I don't go to massage anymore. It just got too expensive.

Perhaps, for now, I need time to recover a bit.

Good Morning World! Today is to be warm and cloudy. I till rain later today. My hip/back is feeling a bit better. I am very glad. I don't understand it. Hobbes is purring in the sack around my waist. I wonder what happened to Firle. She has been gone a long time. I hope we didn't lose her.

Firle was going to be on vacation for two full weeks, the week before Easter and the week after. This is the second week of her vacation.

It is quite common for her not to post much while she is on vacation. I don't think we will have lost her. I expect that she will pop in here very soon.

GOOD WEDNESDAY, April 19th MY FRIENDS!

Wonderful thunderstorms last night. Nothing serious, just thunder, lightening, rain (hard) and then a perfect rainbow!
I was a happy camper.....♥
Today, the sun is shining now. Might have some clouds coming in, do not think anything serious is happening. It's 41 degrees now, going up to 66 degrees. Have no idea what I will get myself into, might go out and pull weeds. They wait, not-so-patiently for me.
You all have a great day. 🌤

Queeny? Do you go to a chiropractor?

NO! I have in the past and for somethings, like my neck when I have been painting rooms, that it helps.
BUT for my bone [sign in to see URL] makes them SO MUCH WORSE! Because [sign in to see URL] are moving things to get them lined back up. [sign in to see URL] you have bone spurs, a chiropractor moving things, is just going to grind those bone spurs into your nerves even worse. I ended up in the ER because of a chiropractor!
The only thing that helps my spurs is to try to keep the muscles stretched out. So I do gentle stretching exercises. I was told that Yoga would be good for me. [sign in to see URL] has the time, and the only one here that I know of, is 30 miles away, one way.
[sign in to see URL] or heat works best. Because what happens is the nerves are irritated by the spur. That is what causes the SHARP pain, with the grinding noise. THEN that subsides rather quickly once you change position from the original one that caused it to hit. BUT [sign in to see URL] muscles have reacted to that SHARP pain, in order to save that nerve. SO THEY TIGHTEN [sign in to see URL]! AND that is what causes the pain, to continue on for days, or even weeks!
I HAVE Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine), a muscle relaxer that I take as soon as I feel that sharp pain. Because I know the tight muscles will be following soon after. It takes between 15 and 30 minutes for me, for the muscles to tighten to the point that walking is excruciating!

Thank you, Queeny. I used heat yesterday and I think it made all the difference. I have heat patches that last 12 hours and I put one of those on, plus I did the Voltaren. I was kind of concerned about doing the heat patch after the Voltaren, but I tried it and it worked fine. Heat was what "fixed" it last week.

I am glad you had a nice storm and rainbow to enjoy.

Yeah, I use a heating pad where I sit, and I have another in my bed. I have those heat patches [sign in to see URL] I don't use the rub (I use bengay) with the patches. But only because bengay says not to cover [sign in to see URL] it does get very warm. emoticon
I only use ice on my sciatica, and that is because the hole/muscle that surrounds the sciatica swells up and pushes on the nerve that even more, so the ice takes the swelling down.

GOOD THURSDAY, April 20th MY FRIENDS!

Got the trash all rounded up and out to the curb. I pick Mom up in a couple hours for our grocery shopping and then when we get back, Dad needs a haircut. So I won't be back on here till afternoon. It's a bit breezy and there is rain in the area. So we'll see if Mom and I get caught in the rain!
Hope you all have a wonderful day.....♥

WHEW!!! Just got home, and got my groceries put away.
MOM did really good today. We did our big shopping in Walmart, then we needed a few things from Red Apple, then we went to Waremart (mini Winco) and got all our nice produce, THEN we went and had a bowl of potato soup! And the waitress lady in the [sign in to see URL] she saw Mom, she ran around the cash register and gave Mom a big hug and said, "I'm so glad you're back!" How cute is that??
Then we got home, put Mom's groceries away and I gave Dad his haircut. AND TA DA! I'm [sign in to see URL] done! I'm tired! LMAO
Mom said her knee was a little sore and stiff, but she actually felt pretty good.
[sign in to see URL] the menu tonight. BLT'S and Sweet Corn!♥

That is not what happened. The mom sat down for a few minutes before coming and fell asleep. She woke up right about when their lesson would be over. The kids didn't wake her up because they forgot about their lesson. They are on spring break and their schedule is all messed up. Their mom said that they had all practiced.

Good Morning! It is a warm, bright, and sunny day here in Central Ohio! A beautiful spring day.

About half an hour ago, I got back from the dermatology office to get the stitches removed from the punch biopsy on my arm. They told me the stitches should be removed in 12 days. Today is just the 10th day, but I thought if I waited until Monday, the stitches would be getting covered up with the skin that is growing back and be that much harder to remove. I decided just to have them do it rather than do it myself, because I couldn't see it that well where it is on my upper arm, and the stitches looked quite tight and deep. So, I had that done this morning already. I went early so that I wouldn't have to wait. (No appointment was necessary.) Everything looks good and the pathology report on both spots, the upper arm and lower leg, came back as different types of pre-cancerous lesions, and just need to be watched. Certainly better than cancerous, that is for sure. So, I have a follow up appointment in July.

I probably could have rushed and gone to my strength class, but I just decided that I would skip it today. I am going to eat my breakfast and then go for a nice walk in the neighborhood.

Hope you are all doing well and have a nice day.

Good Morning World! It does appear to be a beautiful day. The high is supposed to be 59. It was 82 yesterday. Weird. We were also supposed to have storms throughout the day yesterday and nothing happened. Today is to be dry. I am doing laundry and have a few other things on my list.

I almost forgot to tell you. About 2 months ago, Lily started playing with Piper. At first I thought it was an accident, but she has kept it up. I am very happy about that. emoticon emoticon

Hi Sue! I am very glad that your spots are OK. I hope that continues forever. I hope you have a nice walk! It looks beautiful out there. I need to go get the newspaper.

GOOD FRIDAY, April 21st MY FRIENDS!
[sign in to see URL] to be a gorgeous day, it is 41 degrees now, going up to 63 degrees! Of course it is a pretty day now, we can't go to the dump till [sign in to see URL] the weather holds.
Might get out today and pull weeds, they spring up overnight!
Still to early to plant, so besides mowing pulling weeds is all I can do. But that is [sign in to see URL] into the workload nice and slow! :)
You all have a great day.....♥

SUSA.....well, it's hard to blame the Mom. With kids on Spring break, I was always [sign in to see URL] I only had ONE (and his friends)!
That is quite the temperature change! So did you end up wasting another dose of meds on Lily? Or did the weather folks finally get it right?
I am VERY happy that Lily and Piper are beginning to play. Maybe she just needed him to grow out of his complete "puppy play"....Puppies can play a little to hard sometimes. emoticon

SUE....so glad you got to get the stitches out without any problems, and in getting them out a wee bit early, you were able to hear the pathology report on all the spots! Nice that you only have 'watch' them.
You have a great day... emoticon

My back is in a lot of pain, today, from top to bottom. However, when I woke up I was feeling better. I could pin point the exact point of the pain and it was on my left hip, not on my back. As the day went on it hurt worse and then my upper back hurts, too. I will live and it will get better. I put on a heat thingy.

Hi Susa, Sue and Queeny. I did take a few minutes to read about your day.

This family has been keeping me pretty busy. I thought today would be a relaxing day but we ended up going to a movie to see Made in China, the new Disney movie. Some of it made me sad.

My grandson has been taking a lot of my time. He likes me to sit with him if he is watching TV or playing a game.

Somehow one of the chihuahuas got fed three meals yesterday so had to go to the vet today. He was given fluids and taken off food for 24 hours. The poor thing was just lying about whimpering.

Susa, we lost our giraffe cam! emoticon They will announce something for a replacement next week, says Jordan Hatch.

I'm sure they are trying to kill me with food here. emoticon

GOOD SATURDAY, April 22nd MY FRIENDS!

Hubby decided to sleep in and then do yard work today. So, I will not be online today. I guess that is how we will honor EARTH [sign in to see URL] cleaning out and improving our own little piece of this Earth.
♥HAPPY EARTH [sign in to see URL] each one of us become a beacon of light that helps to change our human cultures to ones that care for the earth and live in harmony with [sign in to see URL] EARTH [sign in to see URL] each one of us become a beacon of light that helps to change our human cultures to ones that care for the earth and live in harmony with her.♥

SUSA.....I'm so sorry your back is still hurting. This really makes sense if it IS a bone spur. I was hoping you just strained a muscle. I think it's becoming your whole back because of what that SPUR article I linked. Once the spur hits the nerve, the muscles all tighten up to protect the nerve, so from one spot of pain, the whole back hurts.
I hope you can get it to let go and feel better. IF you have muscle relaxers you should be using them. Maybe even ask your doc for some. emoticon

LUCY......It's a good thing they are keeping you busy! That is a movie I was wanting to see, but we'll probably watch it once it's released on DVD. I was afraid it might make me sad too.
Poor little Chihuahua! I did not know that they could not handle 3 meals in one day!
KEEP HAVING A GREAT TIME! We do miss you though... emoticon

Lucy! It is very good to see you! You really have been busy and I am glad you are getting to be with your grandson to enjoy him. Oh, my! That poor dog! He must have been miserable. They will remember that forever. I am glad that you are getting good food. Yum! And boohoo about our giraffe cam but I have to admit was starting to forget to go there. I am glad there will be an opportunity to see him grow though.

Hi Queeny! I hope you have a good day. I do not have muscle relaxers and fear to ask my doctor for any. I don't want him to see me as an addict.

I am having difficulties typing this morning because of this orange boy hanging over my arm. He is in my lap. He is such a love. I don't know what I will get into, today. Yesterday I changed the furnace filter and went outside and cleaned out the dryer vent. There wasn't much in there though. I hope to get in a long read today. I haven't sat and done that for awhile. I have only read in little snatches lately.

Happy Earth Day!

How is everyone today? emoticon
I just got home from work. My weekend to check the animal rooms. An 8 hour day today. I have tmrw off, work the week M-F, then I have to work Sunday next weekend. I am so tired/drained. I am so glad that Luke did laundry and dishes for me. Last night I did the kitty litter. My house is just getting a brush over. But I just have no energy for anymore! emoticon
We had a emoticon happen at work yesterday. One of my co-workers went whacko. My supervisor and I were discussing my schedule for the weekend and he came in in a whirlwind, pacing back and forth then just interrupted us to go off on a tangent about his work area. He would not let up. My supervisor was calm and tried to diffuse him. He left the room but later came back and had lunch across from me in our breakroom. I asked him what was going on and I told him that I had time to help him if he needed me to. He looked at me in disbelief. He said," would you really do that?" So I helped but then the facility manager came in and I left. I guess they terminated him. He had mental problems, working 2 jobs and involved in a bad group of ppl outside of work. It is kind of scary. You never know if they will come back and do some bad things. I was concerned today because I am all alone on the weekend day that I work. But all was fine. You never know tho!
Many of my co-workers attended the Science March today. I was about to leave work and one of the researchers was there and said that he went to the march in the morning. He said it was a good turn out.
Everyone is fine here. Luke is adorning his tuxedo. Tonight is prom. He does not have a date but wants to go. I am glad that he is. He is such a good kid. Can't you tell that I love him to bits???
I have not heard from my 2 older kids in quite a while. But no news sometimes is good news. emoticon
My auntie in MN is in the hospital. They took her last night because her heart is not good. She is 96 YO! Her husband is 99 and they live in an apt. They did very well until now. I know my uncle Bruno is going to take it very hard. Married almost 75 years!!! My heart hurts for them.
I have not seen my mom in quite a while. I do talk to her on the phone tho. She does remember me and we have good conversations. A lot is repeat but she sounds good.
Ok, I am going to rest for a while. I thought I would pop in and see how everyone is doing. I hope Firle is having fun yet on her vacation. Susa, how is your hip?
Queeny, Is Ginger doing any better?
Hi Sue and Lucy!
Take care! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hi Mary! Your being here always makes me smile . . . even if there are difficulties. That is a real shame about that co-worker. I hope that he gets his life worked out peacefully. I hope that he does not come back to your work place.

I bet that Luke is really handsome tonight! I hope he has a great time.

I am sorry to hear about your aunt in the hospital and her husband being alone in the house right now. I sure hope that she will be OK, but 96 is really a great age. She has done well. Hugs to her dear hubby.

I am sorry you have not heard from your older kids, but you will, sooner or later. Have you made Luke promise not to do that to you?

I hope that you can rest up tomorrow. I can see why you are very tired today.

My hip was doing better this morning, but has progressively gotten worse through the day. However, I think the "worse" it is tonight is not near as bad as it was a few days ago. I sure hope that it gets much better than this though. I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday, so if it is not better by then I will at least have him to talk to.

Now, I need to go feed the birds and then find food for me. Hobbes has been naughty this evening. emoticon

Good Morning World! It is bright and sunshiny here, today. We dipped below freezing last night. The high today is 67. As soon as I find some food I am off to Walmart. I need to pick up a prescription and I think I will get some apples and yogurt and litter, too.

Re: So tell me about your day ...2017

Well, they got me!! emoticon
I am getting a DNA kit in the mail from [sign in to see URL].
They had a sale again. When I checked the last time it was $99. Today I got it for $79. I also ordered the World ancestry membership to search my family. That too was on sale. I have had fun reviewing/searching now for over an hour!
I was really into this years ago when I was home with my kids. I went back to work and it fell by the wayside. There is new stuff now! But I have a lot of info already so am reviewing again. Mostly my dad's family. It is fun and I am so excited when I find something new!!! emoticon
I found my great grandfather and grandmother's marriage license! Yay! I noticed that the dates are what I have except I didn't know the "day". I now have it!! I have the whole license now saved!!! emoticon
This is so exciting!!!
Now to find out what kind of a mongrel I am LOL emoticon

Oh, Mary! I am so happy for you!!!! It is a wondrous journey through people who are your foundation. I love it when I find stories about the people. Remember this, when you save pictures that you find on Ancestry, and add them to your tree, you will not be able to see them when you drop your membership someday. Therefore, save the pictures to your computer and then re-upload them to your tree. If you have uploaded them they will never disappear to you on your Ancestry tree.

I probably have a thousand saved pictures that I need to go back and save to my computer and then re-upload them. I wish I had known about that in the beginning.

It is the same with any document you find. Save it and then re-upload it.
