Re: Plug-in check for Mozilla Firefox

I've been seeing that "Plug-in Check" page every time I click "Check for Updates" on one of my plug-ins.

Your link can't be checking my FF add-ons or plug-ins cos I don't have FF running, is it yours? I don't think it is cos that link is generic and doesn't name a specific client.

I deliberately don't keep all my plug-ins or add-ons up-to-date cos I seldom use some of them.

Do you have a question about it?

Holy Smokes! That plug-in list IS for my FF, I have a couple really strange plug-ins and they're on that list.

Re: Plug-in check for Mozilla Firefox

I guess you know that Firefox creates a separate folder for your preferences and personal settings. You can uninstall FF and leave that preferences folder intact to use for your new FF download. And I'll bet that FF "Check for Updates" browsed my pc to find it. emoticon

:giggle I hope you don't need any plug-ins, Sue. You will know you need them when you can't watch YouTube or do other things like that.

Well, okay, so far I guess it seems that I don't need any plug-ins and if I need any plug-ins, I'll just ask my DH.

[sign in to see URL] that doesn't sound quite right, does it? :naughty

 emoticon @ Sue.

Edit:
I got carried away laughing, LOL.

Sue, if you're using a Firefox web browser, you should be seeing update pop-ups when you first turn on your Firefox as you go online.

A lot of the plug-in updates are for patching vulnerable holes against malware.
