The Hunger Games

I started reading this to humor my Grandma but ended up loving it. I've been speeding through all the books and I'm sad because I'm on the last one (Mockingjay) emoticon

It's not the idea (of war between kids) that I love but the book is fascinating and kinda shows you how lucky you are! emoticon

It's like my new obseesion emoticon

And I agree, Queeny! I haven't seen the movies but they must be good to make a such a scary deadly scene happen for the movie!

If you're wondering what to read next I'd suggest this emoticon

Re:

I am presently into reading "nice" books, gentle, uplifting... perhaps I will get round to this later on?

OK. Then I guess you shouldn't read it now then lol. It does have happy parts, but also some dreary parts as well.

Re: The Hunger Games

I have read the series a long time ago. Good, good books! My kids -all three- have read them too and got me into reading them. We have seen the movies. I liked the 1st 2 but not Mockingjay. It did not go with the book at all. I was not happy with how it turned out emoticon
