I read that Cow Parsley is banned in some state, too. However, it has a lot of natural healing properties.

I did not smell mine! I should go back out and do that. What concerns me about my identification is that it does not have the purple center flower. However, it does have that fuzzy stem. Both Cow Parsley and Queen Anne's Lace have that fuzzy stem. The two poisonous flowers do not have a fuzzy stem.

Now I've decided it has to be Cow Parsley! emoticon

There is no purple dot and I pulled one up this morning and smelled both the flower and the carrot like root. It does not smell like carrots at all. That would make it Cow Parsley, right? emoticon

This is the same moth on two different screens, so the light was different. It was way up high above me. It is about 2 inches wide.

Smooth Sumac (Rhus glabra) - It has really changed since I last posted it. Autumn is on its way.

Sumac was always the first thing to show signs of Fall, when I lived in Wisconsin and Minnesota too. emoticon
Love the Goldfinch, but that little Carolina Wren, got his feet splayed apart, tail up, even had his mean face on. I think he might be ready to do battle. emoticon

The little House Finch on your rainbow hoop is very cute.

Yep! The nymph was the one I didn't see. I think it is because it was way up high and the orange beetle stood out. The beetle is still there but the nymph is gone.

I had two more good pictures of the sun last summer. There is a thread at Picture it Framed, with those 3 sun pictures and one of yours. I saved your picture to the server, today, so that it wasn't lost to Photobucket.

This is an 80% solar eclipse, shown with a point and shoot camera. It just looks like a dull sun, completely round. Through my eclipse glasses, 80% of the sun was gone. We did have clouds.

That is too funny! I started to put my glasses in front of the camera, but then I couldn't see where the sun was. LOL I think if I could have figured out where the sun was that the picture would have been better.

I think the whole thing was best seen in person any way. I mean I could clearly see the corona, but no camera, or cell that we had could even FIND the sun, let alone see those glorious streamers of different colors coming round the moon... emoticon
