Pumpkin Seed Oil.... anyone?

well I think some of you have heard of the stuff I have been going through

well with Pumpkin... first of all it is not easily obtainable here in England,

when Bridie started with her illness (though at the time we had no idea how bad it was )

I first heard of giving dogs Pumpkin... and found out how difficult and/or expensive to get canned here,,(fresh mostly unobtainable)

now with my bladder issues, gone on for far too long now.. causing me very disturbed sleep, wake every two hours to go to the loo.
yes, I had neglected me..

so now. doc prescribed me Tolterodine tartrate. 2 mg this is one link [sign in to see URL]

I am more than half way through the prescription and have felt no benefit whatsoever.

phoned the doc, well there you go, no chance of an appointment, telephone appointment next Friday is the earliest I can get to speak to a doc about this, and a possible other prescription.

so got to reading about Pumpkin Seed Oil

lots of stuff on the web, can`t buy it at our local Boots, (largest "chemist" type store here)

so perhaps Amazon [sign in to see URL]=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=17FI37QSMXHY9&coliid=I1Q1FTI6WNSET1&psc=1

this seems to be quite well reviewed.

well I have on my desk here 3 other "supplements" I have bought recently, trying to sort myself out... not touched them

sticking with my hypnotherapy, which seems to be helping and 5 HTP which ,, well I can`t tell if making any difference or not

aren`t I making a long story out of this.. apologies

so my question is really, anyone used Pumpkin Seed Oil? any knowledge of whether it would/could help with over active bladder?

I have never tried Pumpkin Seed Oil. I am sure that Queeny or Lucy will know more than me about that.

I have tried Tolterodine tartrate, or something exactly like it. It dried my throat out and I continued to pee on. So it didn't work for me, either.

I am glad that you are sticking with the therapy and the 5-HTP. It has hardly been long enough, yet, for the 5-HTP to work, yet.

Never used Pumpkin seed oil. Lucy, will probably know the uses for that....

I however, do use Pumpkin, and Pumpkin seeds for many things....
Pumpkins started [sign in to see URL] a way for us to fend off evil spirits....(carved pumpkins, hence the tradition)...
But beyond the evil spirit carving and the uses during Mabon, Samhain/Halloween, Thanksgiving uses Pumpkin is good for many many things.
When In Season: September – December

*Medicinal Properties: Digestive Aid. Helps maintain healthy blood glucose levels. Reduces cholesterol and triglycerides. Diuretic. Helps ease Ulcers. Prevents kidney stones.
*High in Phytonutrients & Antioxidants
*Rich in vitamins and minerals to support overall health and immunity.

And [sign in to see URL] and ALL Homeopathic aids take time! Way more time than any drug. Because of HOW they work. They work with the body, not against [sign in to see URL] poisoning the whole body, to rid it of one [sign in to see URL] it slowing binds with the body's parts as a whole, but not with the sicknesses that have invaded [sign in to see URL] once there, it simply makes the body [sign in to see URL] healthier, until the body kicks out the illness...
SO you [sign in to see URL] when I try a new natural aid, I give it .....months! Possibly up to 6 [sign in to see URL] a year in some cases. Before I decide that it's not working.
AND you can't go trying something for a month, then stopping that and trying something else right [sign in to see URL] it will also take a couple weeks for the body to cleanse itself of the first one.
Do you understand?

OH AND I have used canned pumpkin on my cats as an aid in softening [sign in to see URL] cats love it and will eat it on it's own, some cats will tolerate it mixed into their moist food, and some cats, like my [sign in to see URL] it! emoticon
