Dear Auntie (bathroom issues)

I have a question. For a lot of years, I have had to get up to go to the bathroom every hour at night. It has always just been me. Now, in the past 2 weeks, I suddenly sleep 5 hours straight before having to get up. What's with that?

 emoticon

I did start a different probiotic probably 3 weeks ago. Could that be what happened? Perhaps all the stuff on that end is less over active?

]HERE!!!! it looks like they ship it anywhere! I am not sure. I don't know anything about that site, so be sure it is secure before you put in money information.

I did find it on your Ebay! [url=[sign in to see URL]

Re: Dear Auntie Who

I'm very glad you're getting uninterrupted sleep now. Five hours is very good!

Not sure it has anything to do with the probiotics. Maybe some stress has shifted, or a latent, sublevel inflammation has finally eased...

No matter what happened, it's good!

this looks like it to me.. and such good reviews

now I have to be frank with everyone

since my spell in hospital with diarohea that wouldn`t stop without antibiotics
I have become so very scared of most everything... got mental issues from it,
but now, hubby has a bad stomach, had it for ages, and because of this and other issues, copd being one, docs keep giving him antibiotics, so he really needs something ..

but if I won`t/can`t take them, because of being scared of most everything (duh!) can`t I really offer them to him? having said that, will he take them.

I will have to show them to him, and see if he will.

I do understand that probiotics are good, but ... there you are,

thanks again Susan.

*hugs* I understand that you're wary about everything now. That was a huge shock.

However, sometimes, it's okay to help our bodies. And Probiotics can't really do any harm. emoticon

I have been using the Pearls for about 10 [sign in to see URL] because they are supposed to help. Then I began taking them 2 times a [sign in to see URL] guess they [sign in to see URL] you seeing anything in that? Yes, the 'help' was not enough that I was sure they were working. [sign in to see URL] was afraid not to take them, as I have to take 3 a day prescription acid reducers and was on several antibiotics, for C-Diff and then 2 kind for my toe infection.
But I ordered those that SUSA linked there and been taking them about 15 [sign in to see URL] I KNOW they work! I was able to drop one of my stomach drugs....

Nanny.....you do not need to fear probiotics. They ONLY go in your stomach and intestines. They do not go through your blood stream, they can not go anywhere in your [sign in to see URL] especially no chemical goes to your brain to mess with the chemical balance there. THEY STAY IN YOUR STOMACH AND [sign in to see URL]. AND to a LOT of good there.... emoticon
Yes, your hubby would benefit from them massively! emoticon

SUSA....I love those! They do work. I wonder if they help you, by making your stomach and intestines healthier, so you can eat better, more substantial meals, thus having more fiber and less liquid. Less liquids, less peeing! emoticon

Re: Dear Auntie (bathroom issues)

Nanny, everyone should take probiotics. Anyone who has taken antibiotics must take them because you need to replace the good bacteria in your gut.

Susa, I have been taking probiotics for years and have used several different brands but try to keep to high quality brands.

I used to never get up at night but now do at least once a night, sometimes two times. I am of the thought that it is part of aging, as the bladder weakens with age. I have read that we should drink a glass of water before bed, even if it causes us to get up at night, because the kidneys work at night and they need water to flush them out.

I don't know why you are sleeping better but that is great.

I don't know what can be done except try a bladder support supplement. I don't want to take a prescription drug.

Re:

well I am really fed up with my "2 hours" nightly trek.

doc prescribed me another bladder pill, I am not going to read the stuff about them, cos nearly every prescribed drug, says chance of diarrohea.. and that really scares me..

so I am taking them, and hope it works,

my therapy also suggests "mind over matter" sort of thing. so I am telling my bladder to stop being so active emoticon

and YES!!! I am taking the probiotics I mentioned above Susan.. and Jim is taking them also..

Thanks everyone

Nanny, I am very glad that both Jim and you are taking the probiotics! That is one of the best things you can do for yourself. It may not help with getting up at night, but they are very good for you.

I got up 4 or 5 times last night. I seem to be back to my old schedule.

Yay, so glad you're both taking them. I'm about to order some from Amazon (not getting your brands here). I stopped taking them for a while because they were quite expensive, but my gut tells me it wants them back.

 emoticon

Susa, I'm sorry you're back to getting up often at night... *hugs*
