Dreams

do you? dream and remember? if so what do you think of them?

I always used to dream a lot and mostly remembered, well some of them, and would look up the meanings , sometimes.

then I seem to have stopped dreaming when I was ill... now have started dreaming again, well remembering some of them

last night I remember dreaming of walking down a muddy stream, to a house, (a holiday bungalow) I had with my ex.. and that is going back over 50 years now.. I have previously dreamt of this holiday bungalow over the years..

so this time, I was wading down this sort of muddy stream, and came to the bungalow, and people were living in there, and I wanted/needed to get them out, so was looking around it, trying to find fault that they had not looked after it.. looking for mice, and where it needed painting.

I looked up the meaning... ah ! seems I need to continue with my therapy, and get my head cleared more!

any comments, anyone? emoticon

Re: Dreams

Dreams are just our unconscious self letting itself be known. Hard part is figuring out what we need said.
In Lord of the [sign in to see URL] character is describing a dream, another simply says:
quote:

Night changes many thoughts

And it [sign in to see URL] is going on in your head during the day, is changed, twisted by [sign in to see URL] is not changed by anything in the environment we are [sign in to see URL] are changed by our own unconscious self, by what is deeply doing on inside ourselves. Those things that sometimes we fear to give voice to, for we don't really want to know the answer.

Re:

Nanny, perhaps you liked that bungalow and so it pops up in your mind.

I dream a lot and I love dreaming. I have actually dreamed things that have not yet happened and then they do happen. It has been quite awhile ago that it has happened that way, but it has been more than once.

I rarely remember my dreams. I remember last night I was having a great dream, but then I had to get up to go to the bathroom and I kept thinking I wanted to continue the dream, but by the time I got back to bed I forgot what it was.

It is interesting that you stopped dreaming when you were ill, but started back up. Maybe because you have started living again.

I have no idea how dreams work, Nanny.

Perhaps your dream means that you enjoyed that bungalow and would like to go back there but can not. emoticon

But really, I do not know.

I had a nightmare two nights ago. Hubby and I were in the kitchen and heard Blacky meowing outside. I looked out the window and saw Blacky lying nearby and looking up at the window. One front leg was off to the left a few feet and the other was off to the right a few feet. I started screaming and Hubby ran outside with a gun and shot Blacky. I woke up feeling terrible and found that I hadn't made any noise because Hub was sound asleep and Blacky was fine at the end of the bed.

All I can think of is that we have been hearing coyotes around here and I am thinking about them.

That was a horrible dream, Lucy! I bet the coyotes did have something to do with that dream.

oh Lucy, that was a nightmare. sometimes I think some explanation of dreams is sort of

well illuminating?

we do worry about our pets, perhaps you were just releasing a bit of your worry? and as Susan said, coyotes, though we don`t have them here.

Oh LUCY!! Your dream gave me shivers! emoticon

When I have a nightmare it is usually about my animals! I think that is one of the contributing factors to keeping my cats inside. emoticon
I STILL have horrible dreams about cats I've helped or held, as they [sign in to see URL] at the vets or home, or strays that I found, that died just minutes after finding them. I still can see them, all of them, on occasion. emoticon
